Latest 24 hour Pacific 500 mb forecast--High Seas

Well it looks over the evening with a great speed average and good in the standings but the winds are diminishing down south – are they kicking in on the Great Circle route, that looks temporary, they have for BOLT but they have not for URGE.  Time will tell if south was the right or wrong miles added for the speed given. It is a long race and this could be a deciding factor most everyone in the fleet followed.

There is more H’s and they are doing the HULA and having a LUAU over the whole course. Japan side is great and a race from Victoria BC would have been fun. Sigh…

MadSPY heard  that the Ponders where not working well, and some spit in the wind happened.  We know they are not working for Rancho but  that could be the MYLAR balloon the put over it (wink again). Other than that they seem OK (if it is not all lies) for TOWER, I have had no problems with accessing the PONDER data other than the speed averaging and the fact that RANCHO does not report. Perhaps the problem was earlier for the C40’s.
