I saw the first start today, the bulk of the fleet headed towards CATALINA dead on, they looked good… but that in my vast experience is never a good thing there was alot of disturbed air and they where going to come in low on the island prone to the FAN and other obsure mid island wind issues, where about 6 boats went up to the kelp line at the bluffs at White Point before crossing they where Higher and faster. If they can arrive above the two harbors (isthmus) then they are in good place for rounding the wind was freshing from the north (torrance beach) as the low cloud (catalina jim eddy) burned away. That older boat was ripping what is that thing again? but it was scooting in any case. Good luck to your divisions go find the high for us! Please wind god stop sending strange H’s …
